President's Message

Welcome to the NDIA-New England Chapter

With the defense and national security ecosystems being redefined in New England and the nation, our Chapter must take an increasingly active role.

In that regard NDIA-New England is creating and enhancing linkages among industry, government and the non-profit sectors, highlighting our extraordinary industrial base, ensuring that good jobs in services and solutions jobs remain in the region and leveraging the capabilities resident in our numerous military bases… ranging from Newport RI, Chicopee, MA to Portsmouth, NH to Bedford MA and Bath, Maine.

Consider the basis for our technology richness, which spans the universities and companies that undertake basic and applied research, world class colleges that prepare the leaders of tomorrow, firms and institutions that provide capital and advisory services, and the military and homeland security apparatus which adapt the latest advances.

The chapter is in good shape, both institutionally and financially.  This year’s Board represents the diversity and strength of our regional industry. Our 23 Directors come from the landscape of organizations which support our national security – military establishments, large primes, smaller businesses, banking and finance, academia, and services firms in law, communications and public affairs.

In my view, the focus of NDIA-New England is to Engage, Embrace, Enlighten.

Engage: the NDIA New England Membership

Embrace: the Technological Infrastructure of New England

Enlighten: Exchange among Political, Academia and Industry

We are constantly asking what we can do for our members to earn their trust and learn how they can contribute to the greater good of the industry in New England.  I look forward to working with Directors and other members to make this happen.
